Disney has released a new California resident deal for deeply discounted tickets to Disneyland and California Adventure in 2026. Here are dates & details about the special offer, plus recommendations for when to use the ticket deal to avoid crowds, historical comparisons, and notable similarities & differences between this promo and past ones.
The new 2026 Winter & Spring ticket offer for eligible California residents offers discount admission for over 50% off on a 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket to enjoy both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park for just $83 per day, $249 total.
These deeply-discounted Park Hopper tickets are now on sale, and are valid for visits from January 1, 2026 through May 21, 2026–subject to theme park reservation availability, which is not guaranteed. As an added bonus, Get Away Today is selling the tickets at an even deeper discount! For a limited time, get the 2026 Disneyland Park Hopper Ticket Deal for only $63 per day, or $204 total! But wait, there’s more!
Get Away Today also has a ‘Stay & Play’ discount for California Residents. With this double-deeply-discounted deal (scientific term), you can take advantage of the 2026 California Resident Ticket Offer for $184 when combined with a 3-night stay at a hotel near Disneyland.
This means that with Get Away Today’s package prices, California residents can get a 4-night hotel stay and a 3-Day Disneyland Park Hopper for less than the cost of just a regular 3-day Park Hopper per person. Get Away Today has shared that this extra $20 off ‘Stay & Play’ promotion will likely only last for another few days, so we highly recommend booking this ASAP.

This deal as a whole, even before the double deal sweeteners, was among the best that we had seen at Disneyland in the last decade. Even without the hotel stay, it’s easily the best. With the hotel stay, it’s on another level. No further reading is necessary for analysis and comparisons with past precedent. There’s no better deal than this, nor is there likely to be anytime soon. If you’re eligible, you should take advantage.
It’s normally the case that authorized third party ticket sellers like Get Away Today are allocated deal inventory by Disneyland to sell at below-rate prices. These companies work closely with Disney to market the parks and sell travel, and that’s part of their general agreement.
However, it’s usually a few dollars off–especially when Disney itself is already selling tickets at a discount. It’s never nearly anything this aggressive. Which sort of makes us curious as to the “why” behind this (and last summer’s Costco ticket deal), but those are different topics for a different day.

One top of all this, there’s the ‘Extra Night Free Hotel’ promo that’s currently available at select hotels near Disneyland. These discounts are stackable, so choose your hotels wisely–the extra night free promo isn’t available everywhere) and you can save massive amounts. Click here to book via Get Away Today.
Here’s a list of the hotels near Disneyland that offer extra nights free:
- Westin Anaheim
- Anaheim Portofino Inn
- Clarion Hotel
- Hotel Lulu Anaheim
- The Viv Hotel
- SunCoast Park Hotel
- Fairfield Inn Anaheim Resort
- Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim
Other hotels are also eligible for the 4th night free, but the above list are the ones that we like–and at a variety of price points. To read more about those and many other options, consult our Anaheim Hotel Reviews & Rankings post for our favorite hotels in the area.
We’ve stayed in and reviewed 50+ hotels near Disneyland. Those rankings received a massive update just before the start of the Disneyland 70th Anniversary, and should give you a good idea of the pros & cons of each of the above hotels.

This is open to all Californians as opposed to just residents with zip codes in Southern California.
Disneyland has done ticket deals for all of California in the past, but they’ve always been during the second half of summer and the early fall off-season. According to the DTB Archives, this is the first time in over a decade (perhaps longer) that the winter and spring deal has been open to all Californians.
That’s huge, especially during school breaks when Northern and Central California residents might be more inclined to visit. Over 50% of Disneyland visitors are Californians. This is not shocking, although it does reinforce the notion that rumors about the Death of Disneyland As A Locals’ Park were greatly exaggerated. Whoops.

Second, this is for Park Hopper tickets as opposed to base tickets. In the past, the Park Hopper option has always been available, but as an upcharge. For example, last year’s version of this deal was $67 per day or $199 total when purchased as a 3-day, 1 park per day ticket. By contrast, it was $289 total or $97 per day as a Park Hopper.
That means this over 50% off ticket will offer even better bang for buck than last year. That is, assuming you want the Park Hopper upgrade, which many guests do not. Especially those bargain hunters more inclined to take advantage of these ticket deals. But it’s nevertheless worth noting that last year’s ticket deal was really popular as a result of the competitive pricing, and it’s safe to assume that there will be more entertainment during the eligibility window since it’s during the Disneyland 70th Celebration as opposed to before it.
Finally, the window is slightly longer. Nothing huge about this, as it’s an extension of less than a week. If anything, I’m somewhat surprised that the ticket isn’t valid until early June. I would’ve figured the May end date was a one-off due to the start of the 70th last year. In any case, this isn’t earth-shattering news, but was worth mentioning in passing.

Disneyland has also announced the return of the Deep Discount on Disneyland Kids Tickets in 2026!
This Kids’ Ticket Deal will be available to purchase beginning January 21, 2026. It will be valid for visits from May 22, 2026 through September 7, 2026. Children ages 3 through 9 can visit Disneyland and Disney California Adventure for as low as $50 per child with a 1-Day Park Hopper ticket. The Kids’ Summer Ticket Special Offer will also be available in 2-Day and 3-Day durations, with options to add Lightning Lane Multi-Pass for an additional fee.
If the California resident tickets aren’t for you due to travel dates, weekend blockouts, or because you’re from out of state, see our 2026 Discount Disneyland Ticket Buying Guide for additional recommendations. We’ll also cover some of the out-of-state deals below in the commentary.

These 2026 California Resident Discount Disneyland Park Hopper Tickets is subject to the standard boilerplate terms & conditions. Specifically, here’s something worth understanding:
To enter a park, both a theme park reservation and a valid ticket for the same park on the same date are required. Theme park reservations for California Resident Ticket holders are limited in number and subject to the availability of park reservations allocated to the California Resident Tickets as determined by Disney, applicable blockout dates and theme park capacity.
Reservation availability for 2026 California Resident Discount Disneyland Park Hopper Tickets holders is not guaranteed for any date and reservations may be difficult to get for any particular date, especially as the ticket expiration date approaches. To ensure best availability, make reservations early. On any given date, park reservations may be available for general theme park tickets even though park reservations allocated to the California Resident Tickets are fully reserved.

California Resident Ticket holders are not entitled to any reservations Disney makes available to others. Parks, attractions, entertainment, experiences, services and offerings may be modified, limited in availability or unavailable, and are subject to restrictions, change or cancellation without notice. Park admission and offerings are not guaranteed.
What this means is that park reservations for the 2026 California Resident Discount Disneyland Park Hopper Ticket Offer will pull from a different “bucket” of theme park reservations than regular full-price park tickets. This is exactly how Magic Keys already work, or even regular single-day tickets versus Park Hoppers or multi-day tickets. So it’s really nothing new. Nevertheless, it’s important to understand–and take seriously–because reservation availability will end up being competitive for certain dates of this deal.
With this ticket deal expanding the eligibility pool to all Californians, this is an important detail. Reservations will likely be competitive for school breaks, such as early January 2026, Ski Week, Spring Break/Easter, etc.

As noted above, this ticket deal looks really good on paper, offering more substantial savings than last year on Park Hoppers–over 50% off! And it’s worth underscoring that last year’s ticket offer was widely viewed as a hot deal.
At the same time, it appears that there’s going to be no base ticket option, so guests will be “forced” to purchase the Park Hopper upcharge. As a bargain hunter, I learned long ago (after buying a ton of stuff I didn’t need because the savings were “too good to pass up”) that it’s not really a deal if you don’t need or want it. Same idea applies here to some degree.
Disneyland has been getting really aggressive with ticket deals, including previously-unprecedented ones. There’s the aforementioned kids deal. There was also a general public deal over the summer in the place of what used to be a California residents offer.
Most recently, Disneyland released a PIN code that included peak season dates from October through December. Although targeted, it’s our understanding that this email blast went out to tons of guests. All of this is likewise fairly unprecedented.
Once Disney raises prices, it seldom drops them. That’s why we “joke” so often that they went to the Kohl’s School of Business, raising sticker prices and offering better discounts to create the illusion of superior savings. Technically, this is a discount…but it’s a consistent and predictable one, and it doesn’t even have a marketable percentage savings. So far all intents and purposes, this is a price decrease. So yes, that actually is extremely surprising.

Speaking of lower crowds, we’ve seen the week-plus leading up to the end of the promo period being busier than the Memorial Day holiday weekend many years. That’ll once again be the case in 2026–we’d be willing to bet that May 8-10, 2026 and May 15-21, 2026 is as busy or busier than the two weeks that follow Memorial Day.
If you only take away one piece of advice from this post, it’d be that we strongly recommend using all days on your SoCal Disneyland tickets by May 7, 2026. It may not even be possible to use the tickets after that, as reservations could be fully booked. Trust us, the home stretch of these California resident ticket deals are always really busy!
In our view, the “sweet spot” for taking advantage of this ticket deal will be April 13-30, 2026 (minus Fridays through Sundays). That’s after Easter but before the home stretch of the deal. You might have a few more days in early May, but we wouldn’t push it. Those final two weekends will almost certainly be bonkers as guests scramble to “use it or lose it” (‘it’ being the remaining days on the tickets).

Ultimately, it’ll be interesting to see how popular these tickets end up being with locals. Cheaper tickets and no weekday blockouts and no spring break blockouts is great to see once again. At the same time, “forcing” guests to upgrade to the Park Hopper option may not be well received. I’m not really sure how that will play with the target audience for these deals. It’ll be fascinating to see how crowds play out at Disneyland during the first ~5 months of 2026.
One thing we’d caution against is drawing comparisons to this year or last and trying to surmise too much. A lot has changed, and Disney keeps pulling new “levers” to entice guests to visit. We also don’t know what else, if anything, Disneyland is going to do in the new year to lure back guests. We’ll be watching to see how things play out and will keep you posted!
