Black Friday and Cyber Monday are long over, but the holiday shopping season sales continue. We’ve already seen a couple of scorching hot deals on Disney gift cards, and now there are two new ones that offer last-minute savings to those who missed the earlier sales. This covers details of the savings, including a loophole to buy multiple GCs and a common pitfall to avoid!
If you’re looking for ways to save on gift cards at other retailers, check out our comprehensive Money-Saving Tips for Discount Disney Gift Cards. That covers Kroger, Target, Costco, Sam’s Club, Meijer and more. Recently, we’ve also been sharing deals on gift cards for third party restaurateurs that operate at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
It includes everything from straightforward savings to sales and more complicated ways to stack savings (e.g. cashback sites, credit card bonuses, etc). This post is shorter and sweeter, focusing on the current special offers at Best Buy and BJ’s Wholesale Club as of December 16, 2025.
Fair warning: if you already took advantage of the Scorching Sale on Disney Gift Cards at Target and are hoping for something similar, don’t bother. That was a once-in-a-blue-moon sale, and honestly, we still cannot believe that not only did it work and stack so well, but that it lasted so long. We thought for sure it was a glitch or loophole that would be closed in hours, but nope.
Suffice to say, if you already stocked up then…this is not for you. It’s a tepid or lukewarm deal by comparison, and I just want to be very upfront about that. The thing is, and we know this from personal experience, deals are fleeting and easy to miss. I can’t count the number of times that I’ve gotten a deal alert too late, and then waited (and waited) for a repeat of that, only to realize I’d have to settle for something less.
This deal is for all of you who missed the Target early Black Friday sale on Disney gift cards but need/want something before Christmas. It’s only okay by comparison, but could be the last sale we see this holiday season. And if you did miss the Target deal, we’d warn you against going back and reading about it now–there’s no sense in creating unrealistic expectations for a deal you cannot score without at time machine…

Normally, 10% off is considered a pretty good deal on Disney gift cards–even if gated behind a membership at one of the club stores. We usually jump on discounts offering that degree of savings, especially since virtually every Disney gift card deal has limits. (At the risk of stating the obvious, it’s very easy to spend $800 at Walt Disney World. Our per-day cost of this trip was more than that!)
Usually, the best sales happen between mid-November and mid-December. We’re at the tail end of that range now, so it’s entirely possible we will not see any additional gift card deals this holiday season. However, there are a couple of high-profile retailers that haven’t run their typical gift card sales, so maybe there’s still hope. We’ll share all of the sales, so subscribe to our free email newsletter for a heads up when more Disney gift card deals go live.
For now, here are the details about Best Buy gift card sale…

Best Buy has $50 Disney Gift Card (Digital or Physical Card) on sale for $45, which amounts to 10% off. Shipping is free for physical cards. (At the risk of stating the obvious, email delivery is likewise free on the digital gift cards.)
In terms of fine print, you’re limited to one Disney gift card per transaction and Best Buy account, although some people have reported success placing 2 separate orders or buying more with different accounts. Others have had their subsequent order(s) cancelled. Basically, it’s YMMV after the first order.
Note that since the digital and physical gift cards are separate products, you should be able to purchase one of each–for a total of (at least) $100 in Disney gift cards for $90. If you do have your second online order cancelled, attempt another one with only a physical gift card in that subsequent order…not that we know from personal experience or anything. This is a loophole that seems to be working as of noon on December 16, 2025, and should bring your running total to at least $150.
If you have a Best Buy store near you, it’s also possible to purchase more there. The register will limit you to one Disney gift card per transaction, bringing your grand total up to $200. (We haven’t done in-store yet, but if you plan to attempt buying multiples, don’t enter your phone number or account info when checking out. This also sounds like it’s YMMV.)
I’m sure with a bit of scheming, you can bring the total up to over $250 in Disney gift cards. Good luck out there!

Where this deal can get really sweet is when combined with credit card bonuses. There’s currently a special offer to spend $250 in one or more purchases online or in-store at Best Buy & get $25 back as a statement credit with a targeted Amex Offer between now and December 31, 2025. We have this on multiple American Express credit cards we hold, suggesting it’s widely available. (Hence our above scheming to exploit loopholes and exceed $250!)
If you have If you have any Chase credit or debit cards (or the Best Buy card), as some of these have targeted offers for 10% cashback at Best Buy. That should be stackable with this deal, making the savings even sweeter. We don’t have any Chase cards eligible for this right now (and we have many Chase cards), so good luck with that.
Here’s the direct link to Disney gift cards at Best Buy. This deal does not have an end date–it’s listed as while supplies last. We’d recommend buying before Sunday, December 21, 2025.

Much less noteworthy is the current deal at BJ’s Wholesale Club offering a $500 Disney Gift Card for the rather random discounted price of $472.74.
Those savings aren’t as good as what you’ll find at Best Buy…or pretty much any other sale. However, there is one important thing to note, which is that BJ’s occasionally loads coupons into accounts and those can be used on gift cards. So if you have one for $10 off $125, suddenly that $500 gift card is potentially more attractive! (Of course, that means not using the coupon on something else, so there is opportunity cost.)
We’re not going to fixate on this deal, as BJ’s Wholesale Club is not that popular (except regionally?), and this sale is simply not very good. But maybe it’s better than nothing and makes sense for certain people? I’m not really sure–but there it is.

Reminder: Don’t Buy Disney+ Gift Cards
Be careful NOT to purchase the Disney+ gift card by accident. Disney+ Gift Cards are only valid for the Disney+ streaming service and cannot be used towards purchases at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or literally anywhere else. By contrast, Disney gift cards can be used pretty much everywhere, including on the Disney+ streaming service.
This can be really confusing. It’s kind of like how all squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares–but if rectangles were into deceptive consumer practices. Seriously, there are horror stories all over social media about people buying thousands of dollars in non-refundable Disney+ gift cards to use at Walt Disney World only to be denied. It’s a costly mistake, albeit one that would buy you a lifetime supply of streaming (although perhaps not with the pace of price increases).
There is absolutely no point in buying Disney+ gift cards–not even if you want the streaming service! Quite honestly, their very existence is pointless and the restrictive usage policy just feels shady and “un-Disney.” Now that the FTC has largely eliminated resort and junk fees (or at least undermined them by improving upfront pricing transparency), I might have to pivot and make the elimination of Disney+ gift cards my new pet cause. But I digress.

Every Disney gift card deal comes with limits and we always find ourselves taking advantage of multiple sales this time of year in order to max out our discounts. We spend more time and money at the parks than the average guest, but even if you’re doing only an annual trip, you’ll likely want to do the same. And from that perspective, 10% off is a hot deal. It all adds up.
Speaking of it all adding up, we also highly recommend combining Disney gift cards so you don’t have a wallet or purse filled with a dozen different ones, and you have to make multiple scans at each cash register to figure out which ones still have a balance. Disney gift cards can be combined via Disney’s online management tool under “My Cards.”
You can also use that to check balances. As someone who often forgets to do the former and has had an embarrassing ‘incident’ at Sunshine Seasons involving the scanning of several gift cards (two of which had less than $1 on them) as a line built behind me, that’s a mistake I won’t make again. At least, not anytime soon. Hopefully.
