The holiday shopping season is over and New Year is here, and this is typically when we see the fewest deals on Disney gift cards. Thankfully, there are two new special offers for those who missed the big sales during Black Friday. This covers discount details, how to sweeten the savings, and more you need to know about buying and using these gift cards.

It includes everything from straightforward sales to more complicated ways to stack savings (e.g. cashback sites, credit card bonuses, etc). This post is shorter and sweeter, focusing on the current special offers at Sam’s Club and Giftcards.com as of January 2, 2026.
Normally, 10% off is a great deal on Disney gift cards–even if gated behind a membership at one of the club stores. We jump on discounts offering that degree of savings, especially since virtually every Disney gift card deal has limits. You’ll typically be capped at $800–perhaps less–worth of gift cards with any deal, and it’s very easy to spend $800 at Walt Disney World. That’s one day (at best?) in the parks!
Usually, the best sales happen between mid-November and mid-December and then again in the summer. We’re now past that sweet spot, so if you still have gift card “needs” for the first half of 2026, it’s time to lower your standards from that 10% threshold. For now, here are the details about Sam’s Club gift card sale…
Sam’s Club has $200 Disney eGift Card on sale for $185, which is below our 10% threshold for great holiday season sales but is nevertheless good for this time of year.
In terms of fine print, you’re limited to a maximum of 4 per order and 4 per membership. So $800 worth of digital Disney gift cards for $740, no matter how you slice it. You may have success with additional orders (that’s always YMMV), but they’re likely to get cancelled.

Disney Gift Cards are redeemable at Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, Disney Store US locations, DisneyStore.com, and beyond.
You can use Disney Gift Cards for almost anything parks-related, including but not limited to theme park tickets, hotel stays, merchandise, restaurants, Lightning Lanes, and even at some participating third party locations (e.g. stores and restaurants at Disney Springs and Downtown Disney).
You can use the gift cards online at Disneyworld.com or Disneyland.com when booking trips, as well as in the respective apps when placing Mobile Orders, etc. Basically, you can use these gift cards for almost anything at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and beyond. There are some odd and random exceptions to this, but they’re almost as good as a regular credit card or currency.
This becomes a potentially good-to-great deal if you have a Discover card. For the first quarter (through March 31, 2026), Discover is offering 5% cash back on purchases at Grocery Stores and Wholesale Clubs, on up to $1,500 in combined purchases after you activate the bonus. Login to activate your bonus categories on your Discover account to earn rewards.
Of course, this is only a deal sweetener if you wouldn’t otherwise hit $1,500 in the ordinary course of your spending at grocery stores and wholesale clubs. Even with only one toddler to feed, I’m pretty sure we’ll clear that bar pretty easily without adding Disney gift cards given the current cost of groceries! As always, YMMV.
It wouldn’t surprise me if there are other targeted bonuses for Chase or American Express cards, but if so, I’m unaware of them. Once again, YMMV.
The second ongoing gift card deal is via shopping portal bonuses for Giftcards.com, which should be valid through January 10, 2026. (It might end earlier on Topcasback–but January 10th is the listed expiration on BeFrugal.)
Topcashback and BeFrugal are offering 8% cashback on the following brands: Home Depot, Airbnb, Sephora, Nordstrom, Marriott, TJ Maxx & HomeGoods, and (most relevant for our purposes) Disney physical gift cards.
Fine print: Orders over $2,000 are not eligible for cash back. Cashback eligible on sales up to a net of $2,000 in any given calendar month. Sales above this value will be adjusted out by the retailer.
Note that Disney and other gift cards eligible for this deal are not discounted, and purchasing discounted gift cards voids the cashback. Basically, the cashback is the discount here.
To each their own, but I do not view this cashback offer as “worth it” unless you have a trip coming up soon and have no better options. Something is better than nothing, I suppose. If you have more time, waiting for a better deal is probably the best course of action.
Reminder: Don’t Buy Disney+ Gift Cards
Be careful NOT to purchase the Disney+ gift card by accident. Disney+ Gift Cards are only valid for the Disney+ streaming service and cannot be used towards purchases at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or literally anywhere else. By contrast, Disney gift cards can be used pretty much everywhere, including on the Disney+ streaming service.
This can be really confusing. We mention this with every gift card deal because there are horror stories all over social media about people buying thousands of dollars in non-refundable Disney+ gift cards to use at Walt Disney World only to be denied. It’s a costly mistake, albeit one that would buy you a lifetime supply of streaming (although perhaps not with the pace of price increases).
There is absolutely no point in buying Disney+ gift cards–not even if you want the streaming service! Quite honestly, their very existence is pointless and the restrictive usage policy just feels shady and “un-Disney.” Now that the FTC has largely eliminated resort and junk fees (or at least undermined them by improving upfront pricing transparency), I might have to pivot and make the elimination of Disney+ gift cards my new pet cause. But I digress.
Every Disney gift card deal comes with limits and we always find ourselves taking advantage of sales throughout the year to max out our discounts. We spend more time and money at the parks than the average guest, but even if you’re doing only an annual trip, you’ll likely want to do the same. And from that perspective, 10% off is a hot deal. Even 6-8% off is a good deal. It all adds up.
Speaking of it all adding up, we also highly recommend combining Disney gift cards so you don’t have a wallet or purse filled with a dozen different ones, and you have to make multiple scans at each cash register to figure out which ones still have a balance. Disney gift cards can be combined via Disney’s online management tool under “My Cards.”
You can also use that to check balances. As someone who often forgets to do the former and has had an embarrassing ‘incident’ at Sunshine Seasons involving the scanning of several gift cards (two of which had less than $1 on them) as a line built behind me, that’s a mistake I won’t make again. At least, not anytime soon. Hopefully.
