Walt Disney World has released resort room-only discounts for Summer 2026 for Annual Passholders and Florida residents offer savings of up to 40% off select dates through July 2026. This post shares the details of these rare and exceptional special offers, plus sample pricing, commentary, analysis & other info.
In case you’ve forgotten, there are currently other special offers for Annual Passholders and Floridians that run between now and year’s end. Generally speaking, the AP discount is better. That’s almost always the case, as Annual Passholders usually receive 5-10% better savings than Floridians. All other details (eligible dates, resorts in each tier, room inventory, etc.) are typically identically between the special offers. Hence our lumping them together here.
These aren’t the only deals available for booking right now–just two for Annual Passholders and Florida residents (there’s another set of AP/FL deals for travel dates immediately before this). For everything else, see All Current Walt Disney World Discounts for 2026. That covers promos for the general public, as well as all of the targeted deals. There are promos available for pretty much all dates between now and December 2026. But what we’ll be looking at here is the discounts for that run during Summer 2026…
Per Walt Disney World, here are the deal details:
Annual Passholders can stay in the magic and save with this special offer, valid on rooms at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels—most nights from May 1 to July 29, 2026.
- Save up to 40% for stays of 4 or more consecutive nights
- Save up to 35% for stays of 1 to 3 consecutive nights
Here’s the resort by resort Annual Passholder room rate discount chart:

Annual Passholders must present a valid Walt Disney World AP at check-in. Additional per-adult charges may apply if more than 2 adults per room at Value, Moderate and Deluxe Resorts and Studios at Deluxe Villa Resorts. Maximum length of stay under this deal is 14 nights.
Offer excludes the following room types: 3-Bedroom Villas; Moderate & Deluxe Resort Suites; Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge; and Bungalows, 1-Bedroom Villas, 2-Bedroom Villas and Penthouses at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
You can book this Annual Passholder discount yourself on Walt Disney World’s official website here.

Likewise, Floridians can stay in the magic and save with this special offer for Florida residents, valid on rooms at select Disney Resort hotels in Summer 2026.

Here’s the resort by resort Florida resident room rate discount chart:

Proof of Florida residency required at check-in. Otherwise, same terms & conditions apply as the AP deal, including the resort and room category exclusions. You can book this deal on DisneyWorld.com here.
Alternatively, if you want to take advantage of either discount but want someone else to do the work, we’d recommend requesting a FREE no obligation quote from Be Our Guest Vacations, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner and having them book for you.
They will happy to assist you with the planning process, help you choose the most economical dates, best add-ons, and so forth. Notably, they also monitor reservations and can retroactively apply new discounts if a better deal is released to save you more money.
Here’s a sampling of available rates for the Annual Passholder discount:

This search is for the night of May 12, 2026, which is part of the regular rate season at Walt Disney World. On the rack rate chart spectrum, this is about middle of the pack (hence the name). Similarly-priced dates can be found throughout May 2026, with slightly higher rates in June, July and August 2026 during the summer season. There are even higher rates around holiday weekends.
You might notice that this is only a single night stay, which yields the lower savings on the rate chart above. That’s a new twist for this special offer. Walt Disney World has done tiered rate charts for several promos in the last year or so, but this is a new twist on that. At least, for Annual Passholders and Florida residents.
Here’s another sampling of best available rates, this time for a 4-night stay:

In the last 1-2 years, Walt Disney World has been offered lower savings not for shorter stays, but for lower rate seasons. For instance, this same special offer last year maxed out at 35% off for May 1-31, and 40% off from June 1 through July 31.
This is an interesting move, and one that’s consistent with what Walt Disney World has been doing with general public promotions for a while via the ‘stay longer & save more’ discounts. Same goes for the new ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal for Summer 2026.
It’s a savvy move that rewards Annual Passholders and Florida residents for longer stays. It thereby helps with room fill, and increasing that coveted per guest spending metric. I’d be curious to know how many people in these demos adjust their stays accordingly. We were debating a long weekend trip during this timeframe, and the 4-night discount being greater sealed the deal for us that we’d stay at least that long. (Not that we were a hard sell in the first place.)

In doing quick sample searches, the cheapest days were almost always in early to mid-May, and largely depended upon what was available room category-wise at each resort.
Rates also vary on different days of the week. Friday through Sunday nights are all going to be more expensive, and less consistent. In general, Friday and Saturday will be the most expensive days of the week, with Sunday through Thursday costing less–but still more than Monday through Wednesday nights. Holiday weeks are also more expensive. Basically, room rates are higher any time when kids are out of school.

My assessment this discount is positive. With that said, there really isn’t a whole lot to say about these Annual Passholder and Florida resident rates.
In quickly glancing at the rate charts for what was offered this year versus what’s offered next year, it’s mostly unchanged. We’re talking the same percentage savings for the most part, and nearly identical dates (+/- a single day). Honestly, I’m fine with that.
Last year’s version of this discount also maxed out at 40% off for Annual Passholders and 35% off for Florida residents. That’s pretty much the ceiling on targeted room-only percentage discounts. Any offer surpassing that savings is usually one of the novelty deals (e.g. $99/night rooms for Disney Visa or something else that doesn’t specifically set out a percentage).

The most recent AP and FL resident deals we’ve seen have topped out at 30% off this past holiday season, and 35% off for Winter and Spring 2026. Aside from this same timeframe last year, there have only been a handful of 40% off deals for Annual Passholders in recent years.
There was briefly one a few Christmases ago, but only for a handful of dates when rates are at their highest levels–and that offered very little availability. Prior to that, there were 40% off deals in late 2020 and early 2021.
In comparing this year’s chart to last year’s, I don’t spot many differences. Both Port Orleans Resorts moved down a tier, whereas Caribbean Beach moved up one. Art of Animation – Little Mermaid rooms went from being excluded entirely to having their own tier. That’s really about it.

Generally speaking, it’s difficult to complain about these rates–although we do notice several hotels are about +$5 to +$20 more expensive per night than last year. At this point, it’s difficult to tell whether that’s a result of our specific searches or across the board rack rate increases that more or less track with inflation.
Regardless, the All Stars for ~$100 per night, Coronado at $195, and Animal Kingdom Lodge for around $320 per night is fantastic. Several other Deluxe Resorts for around or $400 per night, but availability for multiple nights can be tricky. That’s all really good, and much better than what Walt Disney World was offering in 2021-2022.

Ultimately, if you’re an Annual Passholder who is eager for summer getaway to Walt Disney World, these deals are really strong. With that said, it is worth keeping an eye out for discounts that end up being released closer to these travel dates.
As great as 35% to 40% off is, last year’s last-minute deals offered scorching savings that surpassed 40% for select resorts.
