Walt Disney World has released the 2026 Free Dining Plan deal for travel dates from summer through the heart of the holiday season, including Halloween and Christmas, for the general public–meaning now everyone can book it! Here are dates & details, tips & tricks, everything you need to know about booking this special offer.
This is one of several discounts released for 2026 Walt Disney World vacations. Alongside this general public Free Dining deal, there’s also a trio of room-only discounts and ticket deals. Those discounts have (partially) overlapping date ranges with Free Dining, so you might want to do the math on both if you’re traveling during the summer.
This is especially notable because you can stack all other discounts that are currently available. The same is NOT true with Free Dining, which requires an otherwise non-discounted vacation package. There are also other deals prior to this latest round of summer and beyond special offers.
For a rundown of available discounts, see All Current Walt Disney World Discounts for 2026. There are promos available for most dates between now and Fall 2026, plus bouncebacks and PIN codes that run longer. Most of the discounts that are available through October were just released today, so you can also just check out the latest Disney discounts for posts about each.
More discounts for travel dates beyond October 2026 will be released down the road (probably in mid to late June). It’s also possible that we’ll see deeper discounts for last-minute summer trips, albeit with more limited dates and availability. Whenever more discounts are released or rumored, we’ll send you an alert ASAP if you sign up for our FREE Walt Disney World newsletter.
For now, here’s a full rundown of the wide release 2026 Free Dining at Walt Disney World special offer…

Enjoy a FREE Disney Dining Plan when you purchase a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a room at a select Disney Resorts Collection hotel and a theme park ticket with a Park Hopper option—for arrivals select nights from:
- June 28 to October 3, 2026
- October 19 to October 31, 2026
- December 6 to December 21, 2026
Packages may be available for longer lengths of stay.
With this offer, you can discover the convenience and flexibility of the Disney Dining Plan, which includes a certain number of meals and snacks during your stay. And with more than 200 participating dining locations, there’s something to delight nearly every taste.

The Disney Dining Plan included in this special offer depends on the tier of Walt Disney World Resort hotel you select. The regular Disney Dining Plan is included when you choose a stay at a Disney Deluxe or Disney Deluxe Villa Resort hotel.
Here are those eligible resorts:
- Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort (Disney Vacation Club)
- Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s Beach Club Villas
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
- Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Old Key West Resort
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
- Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

The Quick-Service Disney Dining Plan is included when you choose a stay at a Disney Moderate or Value Resort hotel. The following resorts receive the QSDDP as part of the 2026 Free Dining special offer:
- Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
There are a bunch of terms and conditions, all of which are common for Free Dining. The big one is always room category exclusions. The 2026 Free Dining offer excludes the following room types: 3-Bedroom Grand Villas; Campsites; Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge; Bungalows and Penthouses at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows; The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort; and Suites at Disney Moderate and Disney Deluxe Resort hotels.

Additional per-adult charges may apply if more than 2 adults per room at Disney Value, Moderate, Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts. Table service restaurants may have limited or no availability at time of package purchase (a common complaint with Free Dining in past years has been the lack of ADRs for those who arrived without booking anything in advance, but not really an issue last year).
Minimum 4-day theme park ticket with a Park Hopper option required, and minimum 4-night length of stay required. Meaning the example above is the shortest stay possible, not the longest.
Cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion (again for emphasis!). Disney Dining Plans exclude gratuities, which will need to be paid out of pocket at table service restaurants. Children ages 3 to 9 must order from a children’s menu, where available. The number of packages allocated for this offer is limited. Everyone in the same room must be on the same package.
You can book the deal directly via Walt Disney World’s official site here.

As always, you need to do the math on Free Dining vs. other special offers to see which works best for your family. For some people, Free Dining is a good to great deal. For others, it isn’t. It all depends upon your unique circumstances. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, but there are rough rules of thumb.
When it comes to doing the math, I want to put in a plug for reaching out to a travel agent. As always, we’d recommend requesting a FREE no obligation quote from Be Our Guest Vacations, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner and having them book for you.
They’ll assist you with the planning process, help you choose the most economical dates, best add-ons, etc. Notably, they also monitor reservations and can retroactively apply new discounts if a better deal is released to save you more money. (A big thing right now, since better deals keep coming out and supplanting the old ones!)
In short, they’ll help you with discount comparison shopping. There are already a few different discounts available for Walt Disney World in the second half of 2026, with even more to come. What you see now is NOT everything that’ll be available for your travel dates if you’re visiting in October 2026 or later.
Speaking of comparison shopping, let’s start with the elephant in the room, which is 2026’s stackable “alternative” to Free Dining that renders this deal a lot less valuable for many families…

Kids Eat Free in 2026
As previously announced, Kids Eat FREE All Year in 2026 at Walt Disney World! Throughout all of 2026, guests staying at one of Walt Disney World’s more than 25 on-site Disney-owned resort hotels will get a FREE Disney Dining Plan for their kids (ages 3 to 9 at the time of travel) when purchasing a Disney Dining Plan as part of their package for the other members of their party (ages 10 and up at the time of travel).
The Free Disney Dining Plan included in this special offer depends on the Disney Dining Plan the adults in the party purchase. The Disney Dining Plan is included for kids ages 3-9 when purchasing a regular Disney Dining Plan for guests ages 10 and older in the party. The Quick-Service Disney Dining Plan is included for kids ages 3-9 when purchasing a Quick-Service Disney Dining Plan for Guests ages 10 and older in the party.
If you have kids in the ages 3 to 9 ‘sweet spot,’ our advice is to give serious thought to the full DDP if you can swing it. That opens the door to character meals, which are both a great and memorable experience and also a lot more palatable when you aren’t paying OOP.
They’re also objectively great for value maximization, so you’re more likely than not going to get sufficient bang for your buck when doing 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey’s, Artist Point, Topolino’s Terrace, etc. (See our list of the Top 10 Disney Dining Plan Table Service Credit Uses.)

The Kids Free Dining Plan at Walt Disney World deal can be combined with other select special offers, meaning you may still be eligible to take advantage of other deals released for 2026.
This is huge. Already, we’ve seen all 2026 room-only discounts eligible to stack with the Kids Free Dining Plan offer, from bouncebacks to general public discounts. Even DVC point rental is eligible for the Kids Free Dining Plan!
Most notably, the recent ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal was stackable with Kids Eat Free, which was a huge win for families and really sweetened that discount. Although this special offer has ended, we expect another marquee deal like this to be released as part of the next promo wave. Free Dining probably isn’t a big enough draw on its own.
By their very nature, Kids Eat Free and traditional Free Dining are not stackable, since both are offering the exact same thing. Once full details are live, it’ll be interesting to see whether Free Dining can be stacked with anything else. We highly doubt it, so don’t hold your breath.

4-Park Magic Ticket
Walt Disney World has once again brought back the 4-Park Discount Walt Disney World Magic Ticket that only offers one day at EPCOT, one day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, one day at Animal Kingdom, and one day at Magic Kingdom.
This deal offers admission starting at $109 per day, and you can potentially save $150+ per adult ticket with those ticket deals as opposed to Free Dining. Accordingly, you’ve gotta do the math not just on room-only discounts vs. Free Dining, but room-only discounts plus ticket discounts or Kids Eat Free vs. Free Dining.
Given the stackability of the other special offers versus the lack thereof with Free Dining, it’s hard for me to envision many scenarios where Free Dining still pencils out to be the best deal. There are absolutely some–families with kids over the age of 9 and/or guests wanting longer duration tickets or ones that aren’t so restrictive, for example–but it’s definitely a smaller slice of the pie in 2026 than last year or back in the day.
At this point, I’d hazard a guess that Free Dining might be the best deal for like 10% of guests. Again, it’ll still work out for some families, but that’ll be the exception rather than the rule. So I’ll again implore you: Do the math for your circumstances. Even if you did the math last year, do it again. The circumstances have changed, so it’s possible the calculus will be different for you in 2026 due to the ticket & kids dining deals.

2026 Free Dining Analysis
The market for the 2026 Free Dining deal is significantly smaller than in previous years thanks to Kids Eat Free and the 4-Park Magic Ticket Deal, and honestly, it was already shrinking even before that. The new room-only discount is likely to be a better special offer, especially if stacked.
Otherwise, not much to say about the dates or details of the 2026 Free Dining deal. October is offered again, as was the case last year. No November this year, which is a bit baffling given that Free Dining is not really that great of a discount anymore. Although it didn’t happen last year, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s another wave of Free Dining with more/better dates.
If you are considering 2026 Free Dining, but aren’t sure if a different discount will work better for your dates, we’d advise looking in something ASAP. It’s simply always a best practice to book early rather than to wait. You can always cancel later if you book something now about which you’re uncertain. You cannot wait and then book something that’s already sold out once you become certain.

That’s the nature of the beast with Walt Disney World discounts. Even with comparatively lower demand than in the past, certain resort/room/date combos are bound to sell out. As always, those who are willing to compromise with hotel choices, room categories, and even travel dates are in the best position.
Right now, this Free Dining promo necessarily involves some degree of uncertainty since the discounts have not been released for October 19 to October 31, 2026 or December 6 to December 22, 2026.
The next round of discount will likely be released in late June or early July, but it’s a near-certainty that there will at least be a room-only discount, and possibly one that includes a dining or gift card. Along with that, there will definitely be Annual Passholder and Florida resident discounts, plus maybe other targeted offers.

If you want to know more about the value proposition of Free Dining as compared to alternative discounts, check out our recent post: 2026 Free Dining vs. Resort Discount + Kids Eat Free at Walt Disney World. That breaks down the demographics and scenarios in which the Disney Dining Plan is worth getting and the circumstances where it isn’t, especially in light of the stackable Kids Eat Free promo.
All of this math is difficult to do without being able to directly compare discounts. If your travel dates are further into the future (October 3, 2026 or beyond) and believe you’ll be borderline on Free Dining vs. an alternative room-only discount, the best practice is locking this in now and modifying later as (or if) necessary. We will be closely monitoring what’s released and will notify subscribers of our free email newsletter when any Walt Disney World discounts are released or rumored. Stay tuned!
