Stay Longer & Save More: 30% Off Disney World Resorts in Summer & Fall 2026!

Stay Longer & Save More: 30% Off Disney World Resorts in Summer & Fall 2026!

Walt Disney World has released a third wave of the general public ‘stay longer and save more’ discount of up to 30% off hotel room rates for late July through early October 2026. This shares booking & travel dates for these special offers, which are both aggressive and early. Plus, commentary about the savings, sample pricing, analysis.

This is one of many deals that Walt Disney World has released for 2026 vacations, with special offers for the general public, Annual Passholders, Floridians, and more. For every other special offer that’s currently available, see All Current Walt Disney World Discounts for 2026. The other big discount dropping today is 2026 Free Dining at Walt Disney World, this time for the general public.

This ‘stay longer and save more’ discount might actually be better for many Walt Disney World guests than Free Dining. While the siren song of free food is certainly alluring, there’s no such thing as a free lunch–that special offer has some catches that might actually make this discount paired with the 4-Park Magic Discount Walt Disney World Ticket a better option!

There are promos available for pretty much all dates between now and late Summer or early Fall 2026, with even more targeted special offers available for select guests. So the above list is worth checking out if you’re debating a trip sometime this year. More discounts for travel dates beyond October 2026 will be released down the road (probably in mid to late June). It’s also possible that we’ll see deeper discounts for last-minute summer trips, albeit with more limited dates and availability.

Per Walt Disney World, here are the deal details: Save on rooms at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels—for most arrivals from July 30 to October 3, 2026.

  • Save up to 30% for stays of 5 or more consecutive nights
  • Save up to 25% for stays of 1 to 4 consecutive nights

Offer excludes the following room types: 3-Bedroom Villas; Moderate & Deluxe Resort Suites; Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge; and Bungalows and Penthouses at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.

Additional per-adult charges may apply if more than 2 adults per room at Value, Moderate and Deluxe Resorts and Studios at Deluxe Villa Resorts. Maximum length of stay under this deal is 14 nights. Must be consecutive-night stays to qualify for maximum savings.

Cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion, except the Kids Eat FREE All Year in 2026 at Walt Disney World special offer. With this, guests will get a FREE Disney Dining Plan for their kids (ages 3 to 9 at the time of travel) when purchasing a Disney Dining Plan as part of their package for the other members of their party (ages 10 and up at the time of travel). Kids get whatever the adults buy.

This is huge, as traditional Free Dining (for everyone) is NOT stackable with other special offers. This sweetens the deal on every special offer for 2026 for young families, making the DDP pretty much a no-brainer for parents with kids ages 3-9. It’s a fantastic option for doing character meals and other non-Signature table service restaurants (we recommend the standard tier over the quick-service level).

Even though you’ll have to pay to get the Disney Dining Plan for the adults in your party, adding this to your package is going to result in superior savings versus paying out of pocket for food. That should be true even if you do not maximize the Disney Dining Plan.

Reservations may be made online, by phone, or via your Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. If you’re reading this on the day the discount goes live, don’t be surprised if there’s a brief virtual queue for online bookings or a wait on the phones. Here’s the link for directly booking the deal via Disneyworld.com.

If you want to help determining which discounts are available for your travel dates and which resort will work best for your family, we highly recommend requesting a quote from Be Our Guest Vacationsa no-fee Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. The agents there will do the math for you, booking your vacation with the best-available special offer, and monitoring your package for future discounts that can be applied retroactively.

In particular, they can help you determine whether this room-only discount or the Free Dining is the better deal for you, given your party size, resort preference, and eating preferences. Beyond that, Authorized Disney Vacation Planners help take the stress out of planning and will assist with itineraries, ADRs, and much more.

Here’s what we found for best available rates for this 2026 discount:

This search is for the first week of September 2026, which is part of the Value rate season at Walt Disney World. On the rack rate chart spectrum, this is one of the least expensive times to visit Walt Disney World. As far as this promo goes, you’re not going to find any dates that are better than late August through mid-September. Of course, the downside of mid-to-late August 2026 is that the discount is inexplicably 5% worse.

Friday through Sunday nights are all going to be more expensive, and less consistent. In general, Friday and Saturday will be the most expensive days of the week, with Sunday through Thursday costing less–but still more than Monday through Wednesday nights. Holiday weeks are also more expensive. Basically, room rates are higher any time when kids are out of school.

To maximize savings, you’ll need to book 5-nights, meaning that it’ll necessarily include at least a couple nights that aren’t the absolute cheapest. However, you aren’t required to stay 5 nights. If you book 1-4 nights, you’ll simply save 5% less at most resorts and for most dates. It’s 5 nights or longer that “unlocks” the extra 5% off, so to speak. I’ve found searches are simpler with single nights, so that’s what you see above–but those are not the rock-bottom rates as a result.

For more on timing your trip to coincide with the lowest prices, see When’s Cheapest to Visit Walt Disney World in 2026? That covers price increases and other variables that impact the cost of a vacation beyond just room rates.

We discussed this just last week in 2026 Free Dining vs. Resort Discount + Kids Eat Free at Walt Disney World, but a room-only discount is going to offer superior savings for a lot of parties. That’s especially the case with this one for parties staying 5 nights or longer.

This year, it’s also true for families with young children who also qualify for the Kids Eat Free promo, which can be stacked with a room-only discount (hence the call-out in the title to that post!).

If you have at least one child in that age range, you are probably better off with a room-only discount than Free Dining. Young families were previously the target demo for Free Dining, but now it’s pretty much just ‘older’ families (kids who are ages 10 and up).

Tiffins Restaurant Signature Dining Animal Kingdom Disney World 2324

All we can offer is sweeping generalizations, you’ll want to do the math for your own unique circumstances. Usually, outside of the above-referenced family parameters, room-only discounts are better for smaller parties staying at higher-tier resorts. When comparing these two discounts, you want to look at party size, guest ages, and room cost.

Free Dining is better for those who can maximize the number of guests staying in one room and minimize their rack rate resort cost. Conversely, a room-only discount tends to be better for solo travelers and couples at higher priced hotels, as well as parties with lighter eaters. Remember, the Disney Dining Plan is only worth as much as you’ll use it, which is not necessarily its full face value.

These are generalizations and not hard and fast rules. We just want to reiterate this because there’s a lot of allure in Free Dining. After all, who doesn’t love something that’s FREE?! But in reality, there’s no such thing as a free lunch–you’re giving up a room-only discount to get that ‘free’ Disney Dining Plan. Even though it’s the more boring discount, a lot of times, the room-only deal is the better special offer.

Sunrise Entrance Early Entry Hollywood Studios Disney World 484

The other big reason this deal might come out ahead is the aforementioned ticket discounts. With Free Dining, you’re required to purchase a (full priced) Park Hopper ticket. With this room-only discount, you can buy that discounted 4-Parks Magic Ticket–or any ticket deal (see our Guide to Saving Money on Park Tickets at Walt Disney World).

We’re not going to belabor this point again, because we already did that with the Free Dining analysis, but you’ve gotta do the math not just on room-only discounts vs. Free Dining, but room-only discounts plus ticket discounts vs. Free Dining. You can potentially save $150+ per adult ticket (not an apples to apples comparison) with those ticket deals as opposed to Free Dining.

That’s a big thing that trips a lot of people up with Free Dining–again, it’s not actually free food with no strings attached. C’mon, this is Disney–do you really think anything that good is truly free?!

The 2026 Stay Longer & Save More special offer is a good general public deal by long-term historical standards. It’s not the best that we’ve ever seen for this timeframe, but it’s essentially on par with what was released for last summer.

It is worth noting that this discount is a re-release of what was first offered back in early January with two sets of dates. That discount was offered for a month, and then the second wave was released dropped the later dates (August through October 2026). One month later, the third wave is being released with those later dates restored.

In comparing the specifics, I don’t see any significant changes to the terms of the discount itself with the exception of the carve-out for August 14-27, 2026. Those dates now offer a 5% worse discount, which could be due to the rack rates being lower? I’m not really sure how to explain that one. That is typically the slowest stretch of the entire year in the parks, and there’s no way occupancy is suddenly through the roof for those dates.

That aside, this is simply a re-release. Walt Disney World is basically rearranging the deck chairs, or putting things into the ole Disney Vault and then removing them later in order to advertise a discount as “new.”

At minimum, this ‘heads up’ might save you some confusion and prevent you from thinking you’re going crazy if you could swear that you’ve seen this “new” special offer before. You’re not crazy, you have seen it. (Well, you might be crazy, but that’s separate from this. We’re all a little mad here as we obsess over a purple dragon and his popcorn buckets.)

At maximum, it’s possible that this new/re-released discount now has more room inventory allocated to it. Accordingly, I’d recommend checking availability again if you didn’t get your first choice of resort or room category previously.

Personally, in my cursory searches, I’m seeing less availability as contrasted with the original January release, not more. YMMV. I’d love to hear back from others who checked out the original deal and are now searching this again.

There are nevertheless very good deals to be had with this room-only discount. All Stars for ~$120, Pop Century for ~$160, Moderates in the low $200 range, and several Deluxe Resorts for under $400 per night, which are relatively reasonable rates.

In particular, Animal Kingdom Lodge for $339 per night; Contemporary for $434 per night; Saratoga Springs for $329; Wilderness Lodge for $402. The lodges are always personal favorites, and the recently redone rooms there are tough to beat. Contemporary’s new rooms are pretty far from my favorite, but it’s tough to beat the location within walking distance to Magic Kingdom!

Dawn Port Orleans Riverside Hotel Disney World Bricker 1264

Value and Moderate Resorts were all better last year, but these savings are still tough to beat pretty much everywhere except Caribbean Beach. Under $150 per night for the All Stars–with the new rooms, Early Entry, transportation, and free parking–is a very fair price, in our view. Ditto the Moderates for under $220 (minus Caribbean Beach).

If you can find it, Pop Century is a great pick at $160 to $175 per night. Although whether the Skyliner is worth $50 per night, especially during storm season, is debatable. I might just pocket the extra savings and do All Star Sports.

If you’ve heard horror stories about the All Stars or other fans turn their noses up at them, I’d direct your attention to this: Are Walt Disney World’s Cheapest Hotels Actually Good? (Spoiler: yes, they are.)

Night All Star Sports Resort Value Hotel Disney World 1003

At the lower end of the spectrum, these savings make the Value and Moderate Resorts tough to beat. You’re going to be hard-pressed to do better than the rates Walt Disney World is offering if you can find availability for your travel dates.

We’ve mentioned this several times, but Early Entry, free transportation & parking are alone perks that make it almost impossible for the budget-tier off-site hotels to beat the Value Resorts–or even a couple Moderates. With an off-site hotel, you’re paying for rideshare transportation or parking (at minimum), and that alone will usually be enough to bridge the gap. (It’s a different story at the higher end of the spectrum.)

The on-site advantage is also significant for certain restaurant (GEO-82, Beak & Barrel, Space 220 Lounge) and ride reservations. If you’re going to purchase the new line-skipping service, having the 7-day window (plus length of stay–up to 14 days) is huge. It’s probably going to be make-or-break when it comes to booking high demand rides (e.g. Soarin’ Across America or Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets this summer). See our Lightning Lane Multi-Pass at Walt Disney World FAQ.

Dusk Saratoga Springs Resort Dvc Disney World

Ultimately, this is another discount that’s pretty good by historical standards. One thing to note is that after an almost identical room-only discount last year, Walt Disney World ended up releasing more last-minute summer deals at select resorts that were considerably better.

What you might want to do is book this as a placeholder, and hold out hope that a special offer comes along that’s even better. As evidenced by that and this re-release, Walt Disney World plays a lot of games with pricing, so you really have to be on your toes.

There’s obviously no guarantee of that happening, but it did last year. There’s really no reason to believe bookings will be stronger in Summer 2026, especially after Walt Disney World already conceded to facing increased “headwinds” from international tourists during the last earnings call. That was also before the Iran war drove up oil prices; if that’s prolonged and translates to pain at the pump this summer, Walt Disney World might be forced to open the spigot on deep discounts.

If summer bookings end up being soft, it’ll be interesting to see what type of other more unique promotions (beyond room discounts) are released for the second half of 2026…it sure feels like things are trending in the right direction for even more aggressive offers!
