Walt Disney World has released the new ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ discount on resorts and tickets for most travel dates in Summer 2026. Here are dates & details, tips & tricks, sample pricing, whether the deal is “worth it” and everything else you need to know about booking.
This is one of a growing number of special offers that has been released thus far for 2026 Walt Disney World vacations. The other big ones are the Save Up to $250 Per Night at Walt Disney World and the new “Stay Longer & Save More” Up to 30% Off Room-Only Discount. These special offers have partially overlapping date ranges, so do the math on all three if you’re traveling during the upcoming summer season.
This trio of deals aren’t the only special offers available for booking right now, though–there are over a half-dozen different offers and some might be better for you, depending upon your circumstances. For everything else, see All Current Walt Disney World Discounts for 2026. There are promos available for most dates between now and October 2026, plus bouncebacks and PIN codes that run through Christmas 2026. So that’s worth checking out if you’re debating when to travel…
Per Walt Disney World, here are the deal details:
This summer, get 2 free nights and theme park days added when you purchase a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day (or longer) Walt Disney Travel Company room-and-ticket package at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels.
- Valid for arrivals most nights from May 26 to September 15, 2026.
- This offer can only be booked from January 6 through February 15, 2026.
To take advantage of this offer, add a minimum 6-night/6-day package to your cart when booking. This package will automatically be priced to include your 2 free nights of Resort hotel accommodations and 2 free theme park days.
Note that this can be booked as a Room + Ticket special offer, or as a ticket-only deal. It cannot be booked as a room-only discount. There’s a separate ‘Stay Longer & Save More’ up to 30% off special offer for that and, as we discuss in the analysis below, that might be better or worse depending upon your trip parameters.

Here are additional fine print terms & conditions:
- Cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion, except for the 2026 Kids Free Dining Plan Offer.
- Offer includes 2 extra nights of Resort hotel accommodations and 2 more days added to your theme park tickets. To take advantage of this offer, add a minimum 6-night/6-day package to your cart when booking. This package will automatically be priced to include your 2 free nights of Resort hotel accommodations and 2 free theme park days.
- Advance reservations required.
- Offer excludes the following room types: 3-Bedroom Villas; Moderate & Deluxe Resort Suites; Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge; and Bungalows, 1-Bedroom Villas, 2-Bedroom Villas and Penthouses at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
- This package includes a date-based ticket; theme park reservations are not required for date-based tickets.
- The number of packages allocated for this offer is limited.
- Everyone in the same room must be on the same package. Theme park tickets are valid for admission beginning on date of check-in and must be used within a limited number of days, depending on length of stay and ticket.

It’s imperative to do the math on ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal vs. other special offers to see which works best for your family. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Sometimes this will be a great deal. Sometimes it isn’t. It all depends upon your unique circumstances (there are rough rules of thumb, discussed below).
When it comes to doing the math, I want to put in a plug for reaching out to a travel agent. Any travel agent! As always, we’d recommend requesting a FREE no obligation quote from Be Our Guest Vacations, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner and having them book for you.
They’ll assist you with the planning process, help you choose the most economical dates, best add-ons, etc. Notably, they also monitor reservations and can retroactively apply new discounts if a better deal is released to save you more money. (A big thing right now, since better deals keep coming out and supplanting the old ones!)
Equally as important, they’ll help you with discount comparison shopping. There are a ton of different discounts currently available for Walt Disney World in 2026, and that number is only going to grow! So what you see now isn’t necessarily everything that’ll be available for your travel dates.
You can book the deal directly via Walt Disney World’s official site here.

‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Deal Analysis
The ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal essentially replaces Free Dining as the marquee deal for Summer 2026. Walt Disney World recognizes the psychological power of free, and likely wanted another special offer with that magic word for 2026 now that the Kids Eat Free (there’s that word again) promo has undercut the value of Free Dining for many guests.
Of course, this is a totally different deal with its own pros & cons and winners & losers than Free Dining, but its allure is similar. As we noted in the announcement, this ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ discount pulls from the post-9/11 and Great Recession playbook, offering a (diluted) variation of a discount that was previously available in 2002-2003 and 2007-2009.

Speaking of which, we want to draw your attention to this discount being stackable with Free Dining Plan for Kids All Year in 2026 at Walt Disney World!
We already knew that Disney was treated that was being treated more like an on-site perk than a special offer (with even DVC Members being eligible), but it’s still somewhat surprising to see that this can be combined not just with a room-only discount, but also a package deal.
It’s nice to see Walt Disney World not playing games with the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Deal, which is the rare discount that stacks a room deal plus a ticket deal plus a dining deal. Of course, that last one is only going to apply to guests with kids in the right age range. (Other ‘losers’ have been created in the process of switching from traditional Free Dining to this ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal, as discussed below.)
Sure, you’ll have to pay to get the Disney Dining Plan for the adults in your party, but if you have multiple kids who qualify for the free DDP, adding this to your package is going to result in superior savings versus paying out of pocket for food. That should be true even if you do not maximize the Disney Dining Plan (some exceptions will still exist for vegetarians/vegans, etc–see Is Walt Disney World’s Dining Plan Worth It in 2026? for analysis).

When it comes to any “free” discounts, we’d caution that availability for some resorts, room categories, and dates will be limited and/or competitive. Our expectation once we’re able to do extensive spot checking of hotel availability is that there won’t be a full plate of options. A lot of what’s available will likely go quickly as Walt Disney World bargain hunters scramble to book the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal. By the time you read this, some resort/rooms/date combos may already be gone.
Accordingly, if you’re flexible with your travel dates, resort or room category, you really don’t need the same sense of urgency. Someone trying to book a limited room category at Pop Century for a specific week in July is going to have a more difficult time than someone trying wanting Coronado Springs or one of the Deluxe Resorts (pretty much any of them) for flexible dates throughout the promo.
That’s the nature of the beast with Walt Disney World discounts whenever there’s high demand and low availability. As always, those who are willing to compromise with hotel choices, room categories, and even travel dates are in the best position. If you are dead-set on a certain type of room at a specific resort and are entirely unwilling to consider anything else…you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.

As for why the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal is being offered for these dates, the answer is always hotel occupancy. Walt Disney World does not offer any promotion out of corporate generosity. These room nights and ticket days are being “given away” to entice guests to travel at times of year that have lower hotel occupancy rates.
You might wonder why Walt Disney World is giving the discount to tourists taking week-long vacations during the heart of the summer season. Summer ceased being peak season a long time ago, which is something we documented at length in Why Summer is the New Low Crowds Season at Disney World. This trend has only worsened in the last ~3 years.
Although this deal was last offered during the Great Recession, which would suggest it’s a massive lever being pulled by Walt Disney World due to super-soft forward bookings or occupancy projections, I wouldn’t be so sure of that. Last summer, Walt Disney World released unprecedented discounts that essentially rolled back the clock to 2019 pricing. Quite literally. Those were the best discounts we had seen in years.

Last summer’s deals were also released relatively last minute, presumably because bookings were below projections and caught the company flat-footed. Summer still ended up being relatively slow, suggesting that even though Walt Disney World managed to increase occupancy numbers for the fiscal year as a whole, the summer had excess bandwidth. That more discounts were needed to incentivize visits during a less-desirable time of year.
In our view, that is most likely the driver behind this ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal. It’s not a five alarm fire or a harbinger of a coming recession, but Walt Disney World being cognizant of the ‘new normal’ for visitation trends, and wanting to proactively attract more summer travelers. To be sure, Disney has been getting more aggressive with deals, suggesting their base prices have gone up too much–but that’s not the same as suddenly offering a recession-caliber deal.
In this case, it probably boils down to more being needed to entice families to visit during the summer. The parks have plenty of excess capacity and the hotels had unfilled rooms even after all of those great last-minute deals, so shift forward some of those offers to lock guests into longer duration trips that’ll yield more total revenue than the last-minute room-only and ticket deals. It’s a savvy strategy.
Against that backdrop, here are total package prices for the cheapest resorts for the last week of August into the first week of September 2026 with a party of 2 adults:

It would be impossible for me to run through the math for everyone, so I’ll make some sweeping generalizations. The ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Deal is likely to work best for the following guest demographics:
- Parties wanting to book 6 night stays
- Almost all families staying at Value Resorts for 6-8 nights
- Most families at Moderate Resorts for 6-7 nights
- Families with one or more kids ages 3-9*
‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Deal is likely to work worst for the following:
- Parties wanting to book 1-4 night stays
- Parties wanting to book 8-11 night stays at Moderates
- Parties wanting to book 9-11 night stays at Values
- Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resort guests doing anything over 6 nights, but not 12 nights
- Larger groups of Disney Adults (ages 10+) in one room*
*When taking the Kids Eat Free in 2026 promo into account, versus traditional Free Dining. The latter is not being offered this year, so obviously not relevant to what you can actually book on the ‘worst’ side of the ledger. We nevertheless want to acknowledge it, as some planners might be wondering why their trip is more expensive than Free Dining was last year. Having a large group of Disney Adults in one room is probably why. You’re the big loser with the switch from Free Dining to this.

The ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Deal is basically a 33% off discount on a 6-night hotel stay. That’s the very simple, very straightforward math. It works out this way because there’s no standard multi-night discount on hotel stays. Sure, prices vary based on dates and days of the week, but that’s always the case.
However, the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Deal is not a 33% off discount on park tickets. That’s because of the tried and true mantra “the longer you stay and play, the less you pay per day.” Which is to say that the incremental (per day) cost on park tickets for days 5, 6, etc. is lower than the cost for days 2, 3, and 4. The savings are more negligible, but they are not nothing.
From this, we can also surmise that the discount is maximized on stays that are 6-nights, 12-nights, etc. Conversely, stays that are longer than 6 nights but shorter than 12 nights see a diminishing discount as a percentage savings. Meaning a 7-night stay is 28.5% off; an 8-night stay is 25% off…and so on. All rough math.

Ostensibly, it’s thus possible for a somewhat straightforward comparison of the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Deal to the general public room-only discount. Which option wins depends largely on the desired resort tier. Deluxe and Deluxe Villas (mostly) come out ahead as soon as you deviate from a 6-night stay, as those are in the 30% off room-only tier, and anything above 6 nights here is below 30% off.
By contrast, there’s more wiggle room for Moderate Resorts and (especially) Value Resorts, because those offer lower percentage savings as part of the room-only discount. And in actuality, the lines are not even drawn that neatly with Moderates and Values, as the rate chart for the ‘Stay Longer & Save More’ room only discount has anomalies, such as All Star Sports and Coronado King Rooms in a higher tier, as well Polynesian and French Quarter in lower tiers.
It’s doubly true that there’s more wiggle room when you factor in the “negligible, but not nothing” value of the ticket discount…right? Again, ostensibly. The problem here is that we don’t know what we don’t know.

Last year, Cool Kid(s’) Summer rolled out the following discounts:
- 50% Off on Kids Tickets: You can purchase a 3-day or longer kids (ages 3-9) standard ticket for 50% off. This deal is available for visits beginning May 27 through September 20th.
- 3-Day, 3-Park Ticket: Get a 3-day, 3-park ticket starting at $89 per day ($267 total, plus tax) for visits starting on April 6 through September 22nd. This ticket is for admission to EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom (one theme park per day, not valid for admission to Magic Kingdom).
- Disney+ Resort Room Deals: Disney+ subscribers could save on rooms at select Disney Resort hotels – starting from $99 per night at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort – when staying two nights or longer most nights from June 29 to July 31st.
Generalizing a bit for simplicity’s sake, but those ticket deals were better than ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ offer–and that’s even when adding a day at Magic Kingdom. The problem is that those discounts have yet to be released for Summer 2026, and we don’t know if they’re coming at all. Ditto the Disney+ room deal.

All of these special offers were released much later last year (between March 26th and April 10th) and there’s every reason to believe that they would or will be more last-minute in nature again this year. At the very least, they’ll be released after the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ offer expires. The lack of overlap and inability to comparison shop is probably purposeful.
Generally speaking, our view is that a bird in hand is worth two in the bush. Which is to say that you should take the sure thing right now with the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal or a room-only discount, whichever the math supports right now. You can always cancel or apply a different discount later. Absent a time machine, you cannot go back and book this special offer once it expires. And while we expect more last-minute summer savings, there are no sure things. We also expected Free Dining despite it being diluted by the Kids Eat Free in 2026 promo, and it’s nowhere in sight.
Hopefully this gives you a decent sense of who benefits most and least from ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal versus a room-only discount. Basically, you want to look at the duration of your desired stay–if it’s exactly 6 nights, you come out ahead with this. The longer you go (until you get to 12 nights), the more likely it is that you’re better off with a room-only rate. That’s pretty much it…but it sounds simpler than it actually is.

The bottom line is that you need to do the math for yourself to determine whether ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ or a room-only discount is right for you. I cannot stress this enough. Even though it’s the more “boring” deal, the room-only discount might be the better choice for you.
There are plenty of parties who will be better off by simply taking the room-only discount–that’s always the case. Although it’s the “boring” discount, we are strong advocates of the room-only deals in borderline scenarios. Taking the up-front savings and having future flexibility is usually the best way to go if it’s a close call, in my opinion.
It might not be a close call, though! If you’re wanting to do a stay of exactly 6 nights, that’s 33% off your resort. The room-only discount isn’t nearly as good at the lower tier (mostly) Value and Moderate Resorts. And although a future ticket deal might change the equation on that, maybe not.
On the cheaper end of the spectrum (basically, every resort in the screenshot with illustrative pricing above), the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Deal is probably going to win. Sometimes by a large margin. That’s true right now, and might still be even once more last-minute Summer 2026 deals are released.

This should be an interesting saga to follow, and it’s almost certain that we haven’t seen the end of Walt Disney World’s efforts to woo back former fans and pull “levers” to incentivize more demand and guest spending. If bookings remain soft for the rest of the year, it’ll be interesting to see what type of more unique promotions are released for the second half of 2026.
It sure feels like things are trending in the right direction for even more aggressive offers, which bodes well for deal-hunters. We will be closely monitoring what’s released and will notify subscribers of our free email newsletter when any Walt Disney World discounts are released or rumored. Stay tuned!
