Stay Longer & Save More: Up to 30% Off Disney World Hotels in May to October 2026!

Walt Disney World has released new resort room-only discounts saving up to 30% off hotel rack rates from May through October 2026 for the general public. This shares booking & travel dates for this special offers, plus commentary about the savings, sample pricing, analysis and more.

This is one of a growing number of special offers that has been released thus far for 2026 Walt Disney World vacations, with offers for Annual Passholders, Floridians, and the general public. Then of course there’s the other big discount dropping today: ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Walt Disney World Resort & Ticket Deal for Summer 2026!

For every other special offer that’s currently available, see All Current Walt Disney World Discounts for 2026. There are promos available for pretty much all dates between now and late Summer or early Fall 2026, with even more targeted special offers available for select guests through December. So that list is worth checking out if you’re debating a trip sometime this year. It should probably go without saying, but more discounts for travel dates beyond October 2026 will be released down the road, too…

Per Walt Disney World, here are the deal details: Save on rooms at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels this summer—for stays most nights from May 1 to October 4, 2026.

  • Save up to 30% for stays of 5 or more consecutive nights
  • Save up to 25% for stays of 1 to 4 consecutive nights

This offer is valid for the Disney Resorts Collection hotels listed below.

Reservations may be made online, by phone, or via your Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. If you’re reading this on the day the discount goes live, don’t be surprised if there’s a virtual queue for online bookings or a wait on the phones.

If you want to help determining which discounts are available for your travel dates and which resort will work best for your family, we highly recommend requesting a quote from Be Our Guest Vacationsa no-fee Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. The agents there will do the math for you, booking your vacation with the best-available special offer, and monitoring your package for future discounts that can be applied retroactively.

In particular, they can help you determine whether this room-only discount or ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ is the better deal for you, given your party size, resort preference, and eating preferences. Beyond that, Authorized Disney Vacation Planners help take the stress out of planning and will assist with itineraries, ADRs, and much more.

Here’s what we found for best available rates for this 2026 discount:

This search is for the last week of August into the first week of September 2026, which is part of the Value rate season at Walt Disney World.

On the rack rate chart spectrum, this is one of the least expensive times to visit Walt Disney World in 2026. Less expensive dates can be found throughout January and February 2026, and slightly higher (but still relatively reasonable) rates are available in early March, May, and earlier in August 2026.

Friday through Sunday nights are all going to be more expensive, and less consistent. In general, Friday and Saturday will be the most priciest days of the week, with Sunday through Thursday costing less–but still more than Monday through Wednesday nights. Holiday weeks are also more expensive. Basically, room rates are higher any time when kids are out of school.

To maximize savings, you’ll need to book 5-nights, meaning that it’ll necessarily include at least a night or two that isn’t the absolute cheapest. However, as noted above, you aren’t required to stay 5 nights. If you book 1-4 nights, you’ll simply save 5% less at most resorts and for most dates. It’s 5 nights or longer that “unlocks” the extra 5% off, so to speak.

We mention this for those who are considering split stays between both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando. The whole point of a deal like this one, from Disney’s perspective, is to keep people on-site longer and capture more of their vacation time and revenue. But you don’t necessarily benefit from the extra savings, at least if you were originally planning on doing weeknights at Walt Disney World and skipping weekends.

We already stressed this in the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Deal Analysis, but we want to reiterate that a straightforward room-only discount is going to offer superior savings for some parties. That’s especially the case with this one for parties staying exactly 5 nights or longer than 7-8 nights (tier-dependent).

That’s more likely to be the case with the Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts, and less likely with the Value and Moderate Resorts. By and large, the cheapest resorts are going to have lower prices with the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal, especially at exactly 6 nights–but often at even 7-8 nights.

All we can offer is sweeping generalizations–you’ll absolutely want to do the math for your own unique circumstances–but as a general matter, this room-only discount is better for the resorts in the 2 highest tiers for stays that don’t match the parameters of that ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ deal by an extra 2 nights or more. Once you start looking at 9-11 night stays, the same also applies to the lower tiers of this room-only discount.

Again, these are generalizations and not hard and fast rules. We just want to reiterate this because there’s a lot of allure in Free. After all, who doesn’t love something that’s FREE?! Even though it’s the more boring discount, a lot of times, the room-only deal is the better special offer.

It’ll also be easier to take advantage of future ticket deals that are inevitably released for Summer 2026, which is something that it’s impossible to do the math for right now. We don’t know what those will be, but looking back to last year’s Cool Kid(s’) Summer suggests that perhaps we’ll see the following:

  • 50% Off on Kids Tickets: You can purchase a 3-day or longer kids (ages 3-9) standard ticket for 50% off. This deal is available for visits beginning May 27 through September 20th.
  • 3-Day, 3-Park Ticket: Get a 3-day, 3-park ticket starting at $89 per day ($267 total, plus tax) for visits starting on April 6 through September 22nd. This ticket is for admission to EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom (one theme park per day, not valid for admission to Magic Kingdom).

With the ‘Buy 4, Get 2 Free’ Deal, you’re saving money on park tickets. That might make that special offer seem more attractive–and the math will be in its favor right now. However, that only tells part of the story–and a premature portion. If/when these or other ticket deals return, the scales probably tip in favor of the room-only discount for more guests than just the rough rules above suggest.

With this room-only discount, you can buy those discounted tickets–or any ticket deal (see our Guide to Saving Money on Park Tickets at Walt Disney World).

The 2026 Stay Longer & Save More special offer is a good general public deal by long-term historical standards. It’s not the best that we’ve ever seen for this timeframe, but it’s essentially on par with what was released for last summer.

There are some very good deals to be had with this room-only discount. All Stars for ~$110, Pop Century for ~$160, Moderates in the low $200 range, and several Deluxe Resorts for under $400 per night, which are relatively reasonable rates.

In particular, Animal Kingdom Lodge for $326 per night; Contemporary for $404 per night; Yacht Club for $402. The lodges are always personal favorites, and the recently redone rooms there are tough to beat. Same with Yacht Club…whereas the Contemporary’s new rooms are pretty far from my favorite, but it’s tough to beat the location within walking distance to Magic Kingdom!

Value and Moderate Resorts were all better last year, but these savings are still tough to beat pretty much everywhere except Caribbean Beach. Under $150 per night for the All Stars–with the new rooms, Early Entry, transportation, and free parking–is a very fair price, in our view. Ditto the Moderates for under $220 (minus Caribbean Beach).

If you can find it, Pop Century is a great pick at ~$160 per night. Although whether the Skyliner is worth $50 per night, especially during summer storm season, is debatable. I might just pocket the extra savings and do All Star Sports.

Ultimately, this is another discount that’s pretty good by historical standards and certainly better what we were seeing in 2021-2022 (pretty much nothing!). One thing to note is that after an almost identical room-only discount last year, Walt Disney World ended up releasing more last-minute summer deals at select resorts that were considerably better.

So you might book this as a placeholder, and hold out hope that a special offer comes along that’s even better. There’s obviously no guarantee of that happening, but it did last year–and then has again for Winter 2026. (The key difference is that those deals have been targeted to Disney+ subscribers and Disney Visa cardholders.)

This should be an interesting saga to follow, and it’s almost certain that we haven’t seen the end of Walt Disney World’s efforts to woo back former fans, compete with Universal Orlando, and pull “levers” to incentivize more demand and guest spending.

If bookings still end up being soft, it’ll be interesting to see what type of other more unique promotions (beyond room discounts) are released for the second half of 2026…it sure feels like things are trending in the right direction for even more aggressive offers! We will be closely monitoring what’s released and will notify subscribers of our free email newsletter when any Walt Disney World discounts are released or rumored!
